Business Development Manager, Walmart Account

JVS USA is the US division of JVS Export, an India-based manufacturer and exporter of private label home textiles for major retailers around the world.  JVS USA oversees the North American customer base and also manages a growing ecommerce business via the company's Sticky Toffee brand of home textiles.

JVS USA has a new, immediate opening for a Business Development Manager, who will be responsible for all aspects of JVS' business relationship with Walmart, including new product and business development, existing modular and seasonal business tracking and replenishment, order confirmation and new item set up supervision.  This position reports to the President of US Operations and works cooperatively with the rest of the JVS USA team.

Duties will include:
  • Collaborate with JVS Director of Product Development and Walmart merchant team to plan and execute new product development for current and future categories.
  • Collaborate with JVS Director of ecommerce Business Development to manage and grow JVS' 1P and 3P assortments.  Align JVS capabilities with Walmart goals for ecommerce development in order to deliver best in class solutions for a Direct Import-dominant business relationship.  Manage all aspects of the ecommerce assortment including the creation of new listings, content creation and development, marketing strategies, and ordering and flow planning.
  • Work with the National Account Analyst to plan and execute recurring and ad hoc sales reporting, order forecast and flow planning, sample receipt and delivery, packaging development, and compliance and performance testing.
  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for JVS core products both in stores and on

The successful candidate will have a demonstrated track record of self-started success in a small office environment.  You must be able to balance multiple responsibilities and have experience working with overseas offices or factories in order to achieve business goals for the company as a whole.  Must understand Walmart's direct import supply chain for stores and ecommerce.  Background in the Home Textiles category and experience working with Indian manufacturing preferred but not required.

Success will require flexibility and the ability to work well with others in an entrepreneurial environment.  You will need to balance the needs of both internal and external customers and be understanding of other cultures.  Applicants must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications.  Excellent written and oral communication skills are essential.
